Brief Biography

Afees Akanni Amuda obtained Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) between 2003 and 2006 in Physics/Mathematics Education from Federal College of Education, Kontagora, Niger State. He was awarded the best graduating student of the department of Mathematics and Physics of the College. Afees graduated with B.Sc. (Ed) Physics with First Class Honour in year 2010 from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) where he was awarded the best graduating student of the Faculty of Education and Extension Services of the university in year 2010 and he was subsequently retained as Graduate Assistant in February, 2013 in the department of Science and Vocational Education of the same university, after his compulsory one-year National Youth Service in year 2012. He later gained admission to the prestigious University of Ibadan in 2014 for his Master degree in Science Education (M.Ed. Science Education) which he successfully completed in December, 2015. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. Degree in University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. Since his appointment at UDUS, Afees has risen to the rank of Lecturer II and has to his credit 10 publications in reputable journals across the country and has presented papers at different academic fora and conferences. Afees has supervised more than one hundred undergraduate projects. Afees is a registered member Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), member Science Teacher Association of Nigeria (STAN), Staff Adviser to Kishi Students Association UDUS Chapter and member of Kishi Progressive Union (KPU). Afees is happily married and blessed with children
