Faculty of Arts

Faculty of Arts came into being in 1976 after the official establishment of the University in 1975. The Faculty is one the pioneer faculties with which the University started its academic activities. In order to play its role in providing enabling atmosphere for learning and character building for the younger minds, five Departments were created in the Faculty; which studies and conducts wide range of researches in the fields of Arts and Islamic Sciences.

The Faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies has maintained the wisdom of its establishment as it continued to serve meritoriously at National and International spheres, especially in academic and general development of the society through its members of staff, students and graduates in terms of outstanding services and performances within and outside the academic community. The Faculty members, as well as students are winners of a number of national and international awards. The academic activities conducted by the Faculty are not only restricted to teaching, but also researches and conferences that are regularly organized and publications of academic Journals and books
