There are two modes of admitting students into BSc. Ed Science, Mathematics and Vocational programmes. These are:
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and
Direct Entry (DE)
UTME
Five (5) O’ Level credits including English Language and Mathematics with three other relevant science subjects in not more than two (2) sittings. In addition, students should also have an acceptable score in the UTME and Post-UTME Screening examination.
Direct Entry (DE)
Five (5) O’ Level credits including English Language and Mathematics and three A’ levels credits in the relevant subjects, and also have acceptable score in the University Post-DE screening examination. Candidates must in addition to the requirements stated above satisfy the admission requirements stipulated by the teaching subjects departments in the Faculty of Science.
English Language and Mathematics Requirements
Whether by Direct Entry or UTME, credits in Mathematics and English Language at the Senior School Certificate/or its equivalent are required of all Education Science/Mathematics students.
PGS Admission Requirements
Five O’level credit passes in English language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics
BSc. Ed. Science Education of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto or any recognized institution with a minimum of second class lower division.
BSc in Biology, Chemistry or Physics of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto or any recognized institution with a minimum of second class lower division plus Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
HND at upper credit level with PGDE obtained from a recognized institution.
In addition to i-iv above, candidate must satisfy the matriculation requirement of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
Any other qualification acceptable by the Board of Postgraduate School and the senate of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
