Brief Biography

As a Parasitologist, researcher and a teacher with a minimum of 16 years working experience, especially in the field of Veterinary Medicine, I have experience, education, skills and career interest in diagnosis, control, prevention and treatment of tropical diseases, with more emphasis on the neglected types. My professional background has exposed me to public service through research and teaching in the area of Parasitology and Entomology. I have acquired relevant experience in the research world towards impactful collaborations in Parasitology and Tropical Medicine, engagement with relevant scientists all over the world at different scientific fora and workshops, working with the University management and recommendations of research findings to relevant stakeholders. While working with the University Community over the past 14 years, I was able to lead in various capacities, collaborate with other colleagues in initiating and completing several researches aimed at developing the community. In my current working position, I have demonstrated my strategic ability through successfully managing assigned roles and responsibilities as well as achieving project milestones. My research interests include, but not limited to, development of serological test for the diagnosis of parasitic diseases.
