Strengthening Livelihoods

Empowering local businesses with power.

Education & Healthcare

Reliable power for critical social infrastructure.

Featured Pilot Projects

Garu Village Minigrid

10kW Standalone Minigrid Pilot Project at ‘Garu Village’

A comprehensive solar-powered village electrification project. SERC successfully installed an array of solar modules, established a Solar PV Power House, and implemented power distribution including street light installation for the Garu community.

Solar PV & Minigrid

Large Scale Solar Dryer

Active & Passive Large Scale Solar Dryer

A patented hybrid solar dryer for crops and jerky meat ("Kilishi"). Using Perspex glazing and PV-powered air blowers, it operates via natural or forced convection based on moisture content. Highly scalable for agricultural and industrial applications.

Solar Thermal / Agriculture

SERC Compact DC Generator

Solar Compact DC/AC Generators

Developed compact generators utilizing 150W solar panels to power household electrical appliances such as lighting, laptops, fans, and televisions. SERC also conducts youth training specifically on the construction of these units.

Technology Development

Thermoelectric Stove

Thermoelectric (Peltier) Powered Stove

A highly efficient charcoal stove developed by SERC that uses the Peltier effect to power an integrated air blower. This eliminates the need for manual air supply during combustion, ensuring cleaner and more efficient cooking.
