Convocation
Convocation ceremonies are held from time to time as approved by the Senate and Council of the University. It is an occasion where graduates are conferred with certificates, diplomas, degrees, higher degrees and honorary degrees of the University having been found worthy in character and learning. The convocation is usually preceded by various events, which makes up the convocation week.
Issuance of Official Transcript of Academic Record
The Registrar shall be responsible for issuing certified photocopies of the official transcripts of academic record. Copies of the official transcript shall be issued only to their institutions of higher learning or to prospective employers.
No official transcript shall be issued direct to a student. The first copy of the transcript shall be issued gratis upon an application to the Registrar. All subsequent or additional copies of the transcript shall only be issued on an application to the Registrar, supported by the receipt of payment of prevailing charges.
Collection of Certificates
Students wishing to collect their certificates are to present themselves to the Academic Secretary with the following:
- Original of the Statement of Result issued by the University;
- Identity Card of the University used by the student;
A copy of the clearance certificate duly signed by all the designated officers of the University;
- Certificate(s) shall not be issued to persons other than the student
