SCHOOL OF MATRICULATION STUDIES

Sequel to the circular of the Federal Ministry of Education number FME/PS/213/C1/1/190 and in exercise of the powers conferred on Usmanu Danfodiyo University by Section 3(1) and a (i) a and b of the University of Sokoto (now Usmanu Danfodiyo University) Act 1979, (as amended), the Senate at its 224th (Special) meeting held on June 27, 2003 ratified the establishment of the School of Matriculation Studies in the University.

SECURITY DIVISION

The Security Division is the Police man of the University having been charged with the responsibility of safe guiding lives and properties as well as maintaining law and order within the University Community on the Campuses.

ICT (USMANU DANFODIYO UNIVERSITY NETWORK)

The demand for high quality education has continued to rise in recent years in Usmanu Danfodiyo University and this is evidenced by the increase in the number of fresh students admitted each year.  This has necessitated the need to use ICT Technologies to improve both the quality and access to education in the University. 

UDU PRESS LIMITED

The University Press was established by the University as a printing and publishing outfit.  The sole aim was the handling of printing and publishing jobs for the University and members of the University community.

CENTER FOR ISLAMIC STUDIES

The Centre For Islamic Studies was established in 1982 in order to satisfy the needs and aspirations of the society.  It was formally approved by the Council of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto in its 14th Meeting.  Since the, it has witnessed a number of progress and development in many of its mandatory activities.
